Clays with different colors, textures, and shrinkage rates are interlocked within a single animal form. Even when fired under the same conditions, each clay body contracts according to its own material properties, leaving gaps and misalignments between the individual parts. Although they appear to form a single body, their inability to fit together seamlessly reflects those who do not fully conform to the standardized forms that society expects.

Even when placed under the same conditions, people do not adapt at the same pace or in the same way. Society often treats steady growth and smooth adaptation as natural standards, yet not everyone can fit within such expectations. In these works, the gaps and misalignments are not defects. Rather, they reveal the differences that remain within each individual, differences that cannot be completely erased even through the process of being shaped to fit a universal norm.
